Fun Photo Friday ~ Truffle Pops Galore!

Welcome to the second edition of Fun Photo Fridaywhere I take some not-so-stellar photos of my sweet treats and turn them fun and funky! Most likely, the photos will be of sweets that I made for a family gathering, party or event that I didn't have time to take proper photos of in natural light.  

Such as these little beauties that I made and donated for a fundraising event benefiting charity: water, which is a non-profit organization that is dedicated to bringing clean and safe drinking water to people around the world.  The event is tonight in NYC - there'll be live music, drinks and lots of sweets donated from local bakeries and bakers like me! 100% of the proceeds go towards funding water projects. For more information on the event or charity: water - please visit the links mentioned above or the badge featured in the sidebar, called "The Well". 

I agreed to make (200!) cake pops because they can be made ahead of time and kept in the fridge - no worries about spoiling, or whipping up anything last minute.  Don't tell anyone, but this was the first time I made these particular flavor pops! Usually people ask for red velvet or Oreo so I don't get to experiment too much.  This was my chance, so I decided on three flavors: green tea cake mixed with green tea cream cheese frosting, coated with dark chocolate and dusted with matcha powder (my fave!), vanilla cake mixed with lemon buttercream frosting dipped in the blue vanilla candy coating (first photo), and...

...these decadent brownie pops - which was basically just an entire pan of homemade brownies mixed with one package of cream cheese.  Brownies are my weakness...when the pan came out of the oven, I just couldn't help myself... maybe that's why this batch yielded the least pops. hmm...

Hopefully, I'll get some photos of these in action tonight at the event before they're all snatched up.  In the meantime, ya'll have a wonderful weekend!
