Brush calligraphy is not simply a beautiful art form; it can also be a meditative experience as you lose yourself in the rhythmic dance of brush on paper.
In this beginner-friendly class, Lillian Liming will introduce you to the fundamentals of brush calligraphy (with a brush pen).
We’ll begin our time with a brief tea ceremony to quiet our minds and let go of the week’s worries.
After savoring our tea, we’ll warm up with the essential brush strokes, review the lowercase alphabet, and practice creating a collection of serene words and phrases. This will enable you to craft your own hand-lettered artwork, serving as a gentle reminder to pause, and be fully present in your everyday life.
